Schmap Publishes Spage

A tiny triumph: Schmap Guides Ottawa has published one of my pictures in the Historical Background section here. It's the in the top right corner and is the view of the roof of the Library of Parliament, the Royal Alexandra Interprovincial Bridge over the Ottawa river to Gatineau, and Majors Hill Park as seen from the Peace Tower.

On a more recent trip, I took these pictures from Majors Hill Park looking back at Parliament Hill - a nice bookend to the Schmap picture, I think.

Hey there. Beautiful photos.

One point though - (and I'm not doing it to be a goodiegoodie know-it-all), the images you have taken from the Peace Tower looking at the Interprovincial Bridge actually show Nepean Point vs. Major's Hill Park.

Nepean Point is the space with the quasi bandshell that juts out behind the National Gallery. Major's Hill is the vast park that sits behind the Chateau Laurier.

Just an fyi.

Cheers and keep clicking.

Thank you for the info! And wonderful compliments :) I never did know the name of that area and was relying on what turns out to be inaccurate maps. I always suspected that the park name didn't extend across the street, but could find no evidence to the contrary. So, once more, thanks for taking the time to comment!
