While watching the incredible opening ceremonies in Beijing I had one overriding thought: We will never be able to beat this in 2010. Not a chance.

With a budget of $40 million, and a plan to showcase leading Canadian artists (such as le Cirque du Soleil?), I think that we'll have a pretty decent shot.
